Ahhh, the famous Phil Spector Christmas Album with the catastrophic release date of November 22 1963.
Darlene Love’s career spiraled so far down that she was cleaning houses, followed by singing on cruise ships. Better fortune in recent years finds Darlene in small theatre performances. Mr Spector ? not so good
Maybe this was the greatest Christmas album of all time. The wall of sound for Father Christmas

My Dear Hedley,
Darlene is also on the Christmas Eve or closest to it David Letterman show. It has been a tradition for a long time. I hope someone else chooses to continue David’s tradition after this Christmas.
I’d forgotten that release date. Perhaps it was an omen for Mr. Spector’s future.
I think it’s a great album.

Well, I am a bit biased. On this very song, we did about six takes. On the seventh I came in a note early, but they kept that version. I tell everyone I have the only solo on the album.
