As we search our weakening memories of what some of us listened to in the 60’s, this story confirms my recollection and my opinion that The Big Chill soundtrack didn’t get it quite right…this story’s documentation comes closer to the wide range of music we heard… http://io9.com/an-archaeologist-excavates-a-hippie-commune-preserved-1592649745
J,
That was intriguing, especially, as you’ve noted, the music. I do have to say, though, that had my house burned they wouldn’t have found any show tunes but rather CSN&Y, Joni, Donovan and a few more Big Chill type albums. My taste wasn’t nearly as eclectic.
It is so strange to think of an archaeological dig at a spot from the 60’s.

Gnu,
They wrote amazing songs together. The whole Brill Building crowd wrote the best songs and are some of the most amazing song writers.

Gnu,
She doesn’t have as good a voice as her mother’s but it must be great to sing with your daughter and sing songs you and her father wrote.
