Could very well be as I don’t believe I was aware of much music by 1955. I would have been 8 or so, and at that time about the only music I was aware of came from my grand father and uncle (the crazy one) who would stage vaudeville acts to entertain the grand-kids. Usually at the make-do stage in the attic of my grand fathers house on Spring Street in Springfield.
They do remind me of maybe some shows that I imagined took place in some roadhouse somewhere. Probably with Broderic Crawford sopping up some Ballentine Beer (or Ale) in the back bar, readying for yet another gravel spewing ride in his squad car.

Bye-the-bye, and it is really none of my business, but it seems to be a bit late in the evening here. It must be nearing dawn where you are. Must have an exciting evening.
Carl,
This sounded a lot like The Andrews Sisters to me so I guessed when they might have been popular then looked it up. I was just about right.
It isn’t that late here. I went to bed and was trying to answer my e-mails on my iPad, but it was frustrating because of the keyboard so I gave up around 1 AM.

Carl,
I think because it is an older song. The Dinning Sisters sang from 1941-1955. I had to look them up too.

Sadly, the evening was boring.
