Motown music left marks even some thousand miles away from Detroit. Since yesterday our city landmark, an old pit-headframe, is decorated with the illuminated line “How Love Could Be” from the old Motown label song Bad Girl by The Miracles. This was part of the opening event of the Detroit-project festival I attended yesterday. The event was spoiled by long boring speeches and rain. I should have stayed home.

Birgit,
It’s hard to know sometimes what is worth going to and what isn’t. Rain, though, would be a definite deterrent.
I was such a Motown fan right from the start.
