IM6 likely alluding to the purposeful calling out of “Freebird” – considered a bit more than a pecadillo is some concert circles. But it’s inside baseball to know that.
Actually, Spaceman didn’t help. Nor anyone else with their theories as to what my comment meant. It’s much more simple than that.
– Anyone: “Kat played ‘Freebird’ on KTCC
– im6: “Oh, no she didn’t.”
– Anyone: “Yep, she really did.”
– im6: “That’s the last thing I’d ever expect to hear on KTCC.”
– Anyone: “I know. That Kat is full of surprises.”
– im6: “I guess ‘Stairway To Heaven’ is next.”
im6,
Hahaha, I do love surprising you and MDH. My musical taste has expanded, and I even surprise myself sometimes. I play a lot of those 30 second bits when I’m looking for songs. I know what will fit and keep looking until I find it. This one and the Rascal Flatts are both outside my usual musical offerings.
My bête noir was a gym teacher named Randy Walker, who once hit me with a volleyball hurled from the roof of the high school gym. I did not name a band for him. In later years, I realized that I deserved to be slugged with a thrown volleyball for cutting the cross country course to take a smoke in the woods (cigarettes hidden in left sock.)
Mark,
Gym teachers had different ideas on what constituted discipline, and I’m sure the volleyball isn’t among accepted practices. You deserved something-no question about it. I used to make kids weed and clean up the campus. That worked just fine.
