“I dunno what the hell’s in there, but it’s weird and pissed off, whatever it is.”

The leak has stopped which got me thinking it might just be from the overhang outside. When the roof snow melted, it dripped to the overhang. Now the snow is gone and both the outside and inside dripping have stopped. Myย plumber too thinks it must be from outside or why else would it stop. I am to keep an ear on it and call him if it leaks again.ย The ceiling, though, is a mess and will need to be painted when it dries.

This morning I nailed the red spawn with a snowball. It was jumping up at the feeder and taking seeds so I took soft snow, fashioned it into a hard, round snowball and let it go. The snowball sailed true and hit the spawn who disappeared off the deck. It was like a carnival game. The cheeky rodent, though, came back so I nailed it again. It hasn’t returned. I have to go out and fill the feeders later as all of them are close to being empty so I’ll keep a snowball handy just in case. I wonder what prize I’ll pick.

Today is beautiful, sunny and warm. The sky is a magnificent blue and there are no clouds. It is a day to be outside. Gracie too will enjoy the ride. I’ll even open her window.

The syfy channel is adding salt to our wounds. All of its programming today revolves around ice and snow. A monster made of ice just froze too many people to count. One stab to the body and the victims turned to ice and fell apart into cubes. A new movie is starting and more snow monsters will be found in the Arctic. The movie is Rage of the Yeti, and the first one appeared three minutes into the film. It looked like a crazed polar bear. When it reappeared three minutes later, it dragged away its first victim, for dinner I suspect. “We need to get out of here,” is some of the sharp dialogue. Considering a Yeti just took down a plane and grabbed another victim, I’d call that a wise decision. “It’s going to be a long night,” was the comment after a Yeti bit the dust. I’m not even sure this qualifies as a B movie. I’m thinking far lower in the alphabet. It will be fun.

Sounds like movies I would enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

So the squirrel did come back again? They are never even close to my home, they arev too shybto walk 200 yards from the forest I guess. It would be so much fun to see You fight those squirrels ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ It would be fun to be able just totravel by mind, like in bad scifi movies ๐Ÿ™‚ to be able to see Your war ๐Ÿ™‚

We got almost three inches of snow last night and it didn’t get warm enough to melt it away again. But the coming days will be spring time warm they say so I don’t think I’ll have to see it for too long ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a great day!
    Christer.

      Christer,
I know you would enjoy them. You and I both enjoy bad science fiction movies.

Red spawns are devils. They attack the grey spawns and have no fear. They keep coming back no matter what I do. I’m glad it runs from Gracie and doesn’t attack it.

We’ll have a couple of warm days for a change!

      Enjoy your evening!!

Ice, rain and gale force winds screamed our weather folks – what happened ? it snowed, it friggin snowed again. Surely a silver medal is available to us as the accumulation continues to be wildly impressive.

I amazed by the wonders of the internet…I watched the first period of the dirty Canadians upsetting our fine America girls by punching them and raising a stick and generally being unpleasant and Canadian in the Ladies Hockey Final in Sochi. Bloody Canadians, I am proposing a fence to keep them all in Windsor until they learn how to play nice ๐Ÿ™‚

So I then switched to espn3 and they transported me to the Ukraine to watch Tottenham play FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (ok, I had to write it down) in the first leg of the Europa League last 32. The commentary is in Spanish and they are talking about Totting-ham, the stadium is old and decrepit and no-one is there – my guess is that they chose to do their rioting outside of my sport.

We live stream everything from Beck to Babes to Tottenham – its just amazing.

Ooohhhh….ice rain, that should add to the excitement

      My Dear Hedley,
I am also watching the game but on TV. There is bad blood between those two teams. One USA player said, “There’s blood in the water.” This is a great game. OMG, double penalty!

It is warm and the world is dripping and the snow is melting. My sister had snow yesterday as well. She cursed. More is expected next week.

I love the wonders of the internet. It is a magic carpet to the past, the future and anywhere in the world.

We had that ice rain yesterday. The world froze!!

No movie like “Giant blood-red Snow Squirrels from Outer Space will take Awful Revenge”?
    Enjoy the ride!

    • katry's avatar katry Says:

      Birgit,
I live that so no need for a movie. There are two of those red spawns, and I know they are planning to reproduce themselves and take over.

    Hi Kat,
Glad the leak stopped and I hope that’s what it really is.

No red spawns around here anymore. The hawks got them all, I think. In fact, I haven’t seen any chippies or rabbits now that I think about it. Those two hawks are very good at what they do, apparently. ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a lovely sunny day for most of it. Rocky and I sat out on the top step a lot and we took a nice walk. It’s cloudy and cooling down now.

The Yeti stabs the victim and the victim falls apart into ice cubes? How convenient. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Enjoy the Z movie. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • katry's avatar katry Says:

      Hi Caryn,
Sent the hawks here. I’ll put up a welcome sign. Tell each hawk there is dinner or each of them.

Coyotes are the culprits for the missing rabbits, skunks cats and even small dogs.

I didn’t get out today. I did clean up the books and stuffed moved to get at the ceiling. They hadn’t been dusted in forever.

The victim turns into a giant ice sculpture which then crumbles into cube size pieces.

      Thanks!

      Have a great evening.

Good arm, Kat!! Nail that spawn. Keep loose in case Uehara wears out late in the season! Trending on social media today: “USA vs. Canada… loser keeps Bieber”. Our women lost, so we’re stuck with the Beebs. If the men lose tomorrow, we also get Celene Dion. Frightening!

    • katry's avatar katry Says:

      Thanks, Jay!

OMG, that is truly frightening. The loss was a heartbreaker yesterday and to make it worse by throwing in the Bieber is salt in the wound. Now Celine is on the line. The men better come through and win that gold. Maybe if they do we can award them with the Bieber.

      • Hedley's avatar Hedley Says:

Well, Team GB didn’t help, losing the curling big time to the bloody Canadians – maybe that gets Lennie a residency at the O2.

Its all on the American men to restore some honor today

      • katry's avatar katry Says:

        MDH,
I have high hopes for the American men!!

      • Hedley's avatar Hedley Says:

Kat – waiting in the Final is Team Sweden – might get Christer’s attention

      • Jay Bird's avatar Jay Bird Says:

Oh, dear. Now we have The Beebs and Celene. I think our team rivalries are over, else we’d end up with Alex Trebek! But the Canadians as a lot are so bloody nice, I’m not too disappointed.

      • katry's avatar katry Says:

        Jay,
It’s all over now though I’d still like to send the Beebs home.

    • katry's avatar katry Says:

      MDH,
I know he said he couldn’t get the Olympics on TV, only the radio.
