im6,
Thanks-I corrected the spelling, but I did get this from a record though I don’t remember which one. It’s on my external hard drive so I’ll have to remember to look for it tomorrow.
I’m glad I posted a song new to you. It is sort of like sending you a gift!
im6,
That’s where I heard it then! I have listened to the cd’s in the car while doing my errands the last couple of days so it must have stuck into my head. I still think, though, I got it from a different album as I didn’t want to use your music and steal your thunder.
Here’s the holiday song of the day I’m sharing on Facebook. Don’t know why it’s referred to as a parody. Just a good ol’ bad song to me. Or a bad ol’ good song. Hard to tell.
K, I am loving the tunes *and* the stories, esp. your shopping adventures with Gracie.
I have heard and hunted for tons of holiday songs to put on mixes, but many of these oldies are new to me. Santa Teach Me to Dance and You Trimmed My Tree are real corkers.
The new Nick Lowe seasonal album is really cool … a classic in the making.
I’ve been playing a lot of treasures on the radio — archives here. http://www.mixcloud.com/danaloi
Enjoy – while there’s still time!

Can’t find any info about Debbie’s little group. The song is from 1962 and apparently the correct spelling is Darnels (one L). Wonder what they’re doing these days? Still dancing, I hope. http://whitedoowopcollector.blogspot.com/2009/01/teen-dreamswhy-why-why.html

A song new to me? Ha! Check Disc One of Tinsel Tunes 2013. I have it misspelled as well.

It’s all over the internet. It’s not like I discovered it or have exclusive rights. I’m sure Debbie is thrilled to have such a fuss made over her 🙂

Maybe we’ll hear from Debby and the girls!

im6,
Call me crazy but I like this song, the video not so much. There is something toe tapping about this. I’m voting for a good ol’ bad song.

Hi Dan,
Sorry about the delay but WordPress threw you into Spam, and i just checked there this morning.
I love posting Christmas music you don’t often hear. It is fun to go through my files and listen to so many songs in my file.
Thanks for the link to your files. I’m listening to It’s About That Time
right now!
