The cover of “Miles of Aisles” is, of course, Pine Knob, now known as DTE, in Clarkston Michigan and it was out on the hill that I sat and watched The Mingus Tour. I am sure that it was an excellent show but I really didn’t get it and although I continued to buy Joni’s albums it was the beginning of my disconnect.
“Court and Spark” was my absolute favorite by the proverbial mile but I loved “Hissing” played tons “Don Juan” hoping to like it more, liked Joni on the rock which was “For the Roses” and for old friends of KTCC was always smitten by “The Last Time I saw Richard”
MDH,
Take away the memories connected with Clouds, and I’d have to go with Blue. That album is amazing.
I still wonder about Richard. He was here every day and then just disappeared. I hunted for him, sent e-mails, checked out his pictures on line but never did find him. This was before Blogger killed me so it wasn’t the switch. I still miss him.
That’s why I mentioned it, he was such a friend of the blog and to everyone that contributed and then he was gone – so sad. I am sure there are others that miss him.
MDH,
I was always afraid something had happened to him, and his daughter would not have known to tell us. I didn’t know her last name so I could never hunt her down. It is so sad.
