Once upon a time Seger played Mrs MDHs High School.
My favorite Bob song is “Get out of Denver” . Eddie and the Hot Rods had a killer version of the song on their EP Live at the Marquee. But my favorite story was a few years ago when Bob was in town and played the Fillmore.
As usual I knew the set list and during the final song of the scheduled encore we headed to the exit…but Bob wasn’t done! and announced one more song as a tribute to Seger and ripped in to???you have got it. I was already heading north on I75, and missed the whole friggin thing – I did hear the bootleg later but…
My Dear Hedley,
I would guess it was a long while back when Seger was playing high schools.
I would have been majorly bummed, but I never leave early. That stems from my childhood when my dad always left the drive-in before the movie ended. I’d look out the window hoping to see the end, but I never did. So many movies were left in limbo for me.

Hearing the bootleg later would have stung a bit.
