“Without knowing the cause of illness, any treatment must be considered a guess.”

Yesterday was perfect baseball weather, and the Sox won.  I got my sausage with peppers and onions for lunch and toward the last few innings I got a Fenway frank. It was a wonderful day; however, the evening wasn’t. It must have been the excitement of the day as I was ill last night. I’m not soliciting sympathy but rather explaining why you’re not reading some little musing about the day and the game. I even forgot my usual Monday morning breakfast with my friend. I was shocked when the phone rang a little after 9 and woke me up. “Where are you?” That was in itself a bit of a silly question, but I apologized for not being there and explained why.

I am taking the day off or at least the morning until I feel a bit better. Please do check back later.

Thans, Birgit. I feel better already!

      Birgit
So it sounds like you have a new Grand Coalition with Angela leading the Christian Democratic Union with her chums from the Social Democrats. A third term for the Divine Ms M and a slight push to the left ?
Yours in Bundestag fun (and the FDP got pounded)

      • Birgit Says:

Hedley, yes, we are all oh so happy, dancing on the tables and eating sauerkraut all day long… No, seriously, as expected we have to bear Queen Angela another 4 years, the clown from the other party wasn’t a real alternative. Again a Grand Coalition means nothing will be done, other coalitions are unlikely. No one really misses the FDP. The lethargy will continue. Frustrating.

A slice of Bruce Springsteen’s BIRTHDAY cake will make you feel better!

You have my sympathy anyway 🙂

Was it a bad sausage? No matter what I hope You’ll feel better soon!

    Christer.

    • katry Says:

      Thank you, Christer,

It was a long while between feeling ill and the sausage so I doubt the sausage was the culprit. My friend didn’t feel so hot either and she had only a huge pretzel. Who knows?

Kat, I hope it was just a 24-hour bug and that you’re fit as a marathoner tomorrow.

    Hi Kat,
Sometimes the joy of a Red Sox game on a perfect fall day, a ball park sausage and a Fenway Frank is just too much for one body to handle.
Hope your are feeling much better now. 🙂

      Hi Caryn,
I think you are right. The perfection of yesterday was just too much for my system to handle. Right now I’m feeling pretty good so I’m thanking a day of illness was it!!

I hope you are feeling better. There is nothing that will make you feel either wonderful or as sick as a dog as a sausage with onions and pepper sub. Did you get it at the ballpark? If the sausage didn’t get to you then topping it off with a frank, even a Fenway Frank, may have been the coup de grâce.

      Hi Bob,
I am feeling better, thank you! I don’t thin it was a the sausage. I ate that round 1 and I didn’t feel sick until that night. My friend had only a pretzel, and she didn’t feel so hot either. Maybe it was a quick bug.

  7. Annie Says:

I’m so glad that you are feeling better Kat.
I feel a bit guilty that while you were ill I was at a Manic Street Preachers gig having a fantastic time!
