Spaceman,
This is both a sad and proud song. Thanks for posting it.

Indeed. Sean Hannity uses it for intro melody on radio talk show

Spaceman,
That I wouldn’t know.

Oh, Shawn is OK, but I very seldom watch his show. But I do like Van Susternan and have to confess I will listen to El Rushbo if I happen to on the the road when he’s on. Listen to NPR news to and from work – a fella has to have balance..

Spaceman,
I am an NPR listener and don’t give Rush equal time-any time actually.

I don’t find talk radio very interesting, but I will tune in to Rushbo on occasion to kill some time on the highways. I can understand why he is popular, his show is serious and humorous at the same time. A populist edition of P. J. O’Rourke.

Spaceman,
I like NPR because of the variety of its programs including This American Life and some of the quiz shows.
When I’m on the road in unfamiliar territory I try to find local stations. I remember finding a great one in upper state New York with a crop report and lots of ads for farm equipment. It was fun to listen.

They have some pretty good programs, I catch Thistles & Shamrocks fairly often. And agree that This American Life is interesting. I listen to the morning & afternoon news programs all during the week. The news programs tilt left noticeably, which gets rather annoying. Like David Brooks as the weekly conservative commentator; get serious. The Saturday quiz shows are fun too.

Spaceman,
I guess the left view of NPR counters “Rushbo’s” right tilted view which is so slanted I have trouble staying upright.

Rush is certainly hard right. Talk shows get to be opinionated, right, left, alien conspiracies
July 6, 2013 at 10:19 am
Spaceman,
I’d listen to a talk show about alien conspiracies. That would be so fun.

My car pool buddy side kick tells me about some really weird early early morning radio talk shows from the far west states that consist mostly of call-ins that talk UFOs & alien abductions and such. Too strange.
July 6, 2013 at 2:25 pm
Spaceman,
That would give me a laugh. I’d love to listen, especially to people who claim to have been abducted.

Pod people, pyramids, maybe it does all fit together?
July 7, 2013 at 9:27 am
Spaceman,
I used to love programs like The Invaders where the aliens looked like humans.
The pod people were the best!!

The “Invasion of the Body Snatchers ” (78 version with Sutherland) was actually pretty creepy. Gave me the willies.

Spaceman,
I actually like the original, the Kevin McCarthy version. It too is creepy.
