My mother, and me, in 1947!

    You two are lovely!

I had to look twice to be sure it wasn’t my mother. I have a picture of her in the same pose, wearing a similar outfit and hairdo, on what may be the same rocks. It would have been without me, though, and probably 7 or 8 years earlier. 🙂

      Hi Caryn,
I hope Rocky gave you extra kisses today!

This was probably taken somewhere in Stoneham.

      We both thank you!!

Rocky spoiled an idyllic scene at the lake this morning by running away towards the main road and refusing to come back. It was a quiet morning with soft rain. Six swans were sleeping peacefully near the shore. That is they were sleeping peacefully until I started calling my errant dog. They woke up, gave me disgusted looks and sailed off to the quiet end of the lake. The end with all the buildings and parking lots. 🙂
Rocky came running back all innocent and happy. We went for breakfast.

        Caryn,
Gracie won’t ever come if she gets loose. A neighbor will hear me and come out. Gracie runs right over to say hello and gets captured. She’ll even go visit walking strangers. At least Rocky came back!!

Haha, “the quiet end with the buildings and the parking lots.”

Those were the kind of photos that everyone took in those days. Very stif and posed.

So beautiful! I haven’t seen this one before. Do you have other golden oldies stashed away?
