Chicago seems to be making some kind of come back lately, at least in the eyes of Popdose. I wonder sometimes what the heck their writers think about when they are ‘innovating’ their articles. Their childhood perhaps! LOL! Well to each their own, I guess.
I liked this ‘surprise’ when it came out about a hundred million years ago, but have not really thought of it since. A good review of a once favorite, and still so, song.
I would agree, it was the best time to grow up, music wise and otherwise too. Having seen two pretty different worlds, I’m not too sure I’m a real fan of this techy one we seem to be in now. But then, I’m pretty attached to nature and her doings and may be missing the whole point of this money grab going on.
Carl,
Being in Africa last summer, I saw cell phones everywhere, but I understand their need there. Mail took a week to get to the coast and another week to get to the US. Now you just pick up a phone. They don’t text though, just chat. There are internet cafes in most big towns but individuals don’t have computers, too expensive, I didn’t mind being out of touch for the three weeks but I met a volunteer who said she doubted she would ave stayed there except she could Skype her family every week.

I saw these guys when Terry Kath was still alive.
Very, very good show.

Beto,
That’s doesn’t surprise me. I expected they’d be great live.

Glenn,
I think Chicago was one of the great groups. So many of their songs were favorites of mine.
I always contend that we grew up with the best music of all.
