Spaceman,
I did not know that about Armenia. I did a bit of research as you got me curious. Soorp Dznoont is Christmas and the background of using that date was really interesting. Thanks!!
I met a contract guy at work several months ago who was second generation Armenian and was telling me about Armenia. I have to try to remember his name, he and his daughter had some stuff on internet playing Armenian folk music, which was quite interesting. Got me curious about Armenia & found out it was first Christian nation I was quizzing him about the differences in the eastern orthodox & coptic churches. I attended a Othodox wedding in Nashville a few years ago, fascinating, the whole service is sung by the priests and a small choir, going back & forth. Very liturgical.
Spaceman,
When I was in high school, we were required to research other religions. I chose Greek Orthodox and went to a few services. I thought they were beautiful and the music almost transcending.

Very nice. And right on time for Christmas as observed in the Armenia, which was the first declared Christian nation.
