Quote from GABRIEL GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ, One Hundred Years of Solitude
July 15, 2012 at 12:25 pm
When routine bites hard,
And ambitions are low,
And resentment rides high,
But emotions won’t grow,
And we’re changing our ways,
Taking different roads.
Then love, love will tear us apart again.
Love, love will tear us apart again.
He wasn’t KTCC, and he left all so young. You can get some idea in Anton Corbijn’s “Control”. Today is the birth day Ian Curtis.

My Dear hedley,
Those lyrics are so sad and so was the life of Ian Curtis. I didn’t know the movie so I did some research. I also went to youtube to listen to the song, but is is not available here.

A much more optimistic quote on aging than the one I found today for my site – “A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.” (John Barrymore). Where and when was the photo taken?

Max,
I was looking at solitude as the key word here. It didn’t occur to me that it was pessimistic as I love being home in my house just kicking back . When I was younger, I was out every weekend, but now I’m just fine staying in and enjoying life and the its solitude.
I love your quote.

That’s what I was saying Kat, your quote has quite an optimistic slant to it compared to the one I found. Solitude and quiet contemplation are wonderful things.

Max,
I reread your comment and can’t imagine how I misread it. You are so right about solitude and contemplation being wonderful. I think when we get older we want more time just to be without doing.
