Very entertaining and quite spectacular, but why does it always seem like there are more participants than spectators in these types of videos? Also, it’s got a pretty high level of cinematography. All of which makes me somewhat skeptical of the authenticity of there being a complete element of surprise (permits? approvals?). Which doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of a good show (the Tony Awards are tonight !). Thanks for posting.

I think they need some sort of official permission, a permit as you say. There was a flash mob here in a grocery store (a band with all its instruments), and I was told the store had given permission.
I am looking forward to the Tony’s-always a good show.
