“…Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks.”

Today is cold, 29° cold. When I look out my window, I can almost feel the wind blowing up my sleeves the way it sometimes did when I walked to school.

Okay, I hate to admit it, but I lost my whole entry. Even if I say so myself, it was a good one. I swear I hit publish but the post disappeared and isn’t in the trash. All I found was the small bit above. Usually I preview but not today. Isn’t that just the way!

I beg your pardon for leaving you with so little, but I am discouraged, and my muse has stormed off in a huff, and I don’t blame her. I’m feeling huffy myself!

I hate when that happens and it never gets as good the second time as it did the first!

Sunny and warm over here today but now the temperature is dropping and fast too. It will snow tomorrow but the snow will melt away already the next day they say.

    Have a great day!
    Christer.

      Christer,
I suppose I shouldn’t complain so much as it has never happened to me before this.

You have our yesterday’s weather when it got and has stayed cold. No snow though!

      Enjoy your evening!

I used to go off in a Huff occasionally …

It was a 2-door Huff, which I later traded in on a 4-door Snit.

Here’s a tip from someone who used to lose a lot of work due to intermittent computer lock-ups:

Compose in a text editor program, such as Notepad or Wordpad, and save the file frequently.

When ready to publish, just copy-and-paste from the text file.

After you see that the publish function succeeded, then it’s safe to delete your original text file, but you may want to keep it in case WordPress has a belated hiccup.

      Jeff,
I will do that for now on. In all the years I have been doing a blog, this is the first time I lost the posting. I guess I got lackadaisical!

I wonder how that happened. Only once or twice I’ve lost entries when the Zoey surprises me and lands on the keyboard. Many times I have to restart the computer. All is lost though and this has happened to 40 pages worth on contract language I needed.

      Z&Me,
I have no idea where it went. My choices were publish or trash, and it should have been recoverable if I put it in the trash by mistake.

      It is floating in hyperspace.

Anytime I hit a button on the computer or a website that says enter, publish, upload or enter, I always double check my work. Of course your lost post would be eligible for the Pulitzer Prize at least or the Nobel Prize at best. On the Mac you can use TextEdit to compose your post.

Here the wind is blowing very strong out of south funneling in warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico to feed the low pressure system which is moving in from the Southwest. This means a lot of rain between tonight through Saturday. Why not post something tomorrow to make up for your short post today?

      I’m thinking a Pulirzer!

WordPress gives me two choices: trash or publish. It did neither. If it had gone into the trash, I should have been able to find it there. I figure there is a gremlin hiding in my computer.

I gave publishing tomorrow a thought, but I have filled my day with stuff to do, and I expected to get an early start.

When I write, I don’t usually get finished until after 11 (even many more after 12) depending upon when I get up so the morning is generally gone. I want to get an early start tomorrow so I’ll have to save inventive for Thursday.

    Hi Kat,

I sympathize completely. Your post is out there with the introduction to my thesis. I hope they enjoy each others’ obviously erudite company unread and unappreciated by the world at large.

I didn’t see the day today as it was my day in the massage office. I think it was sunny but very cold. The office clivia is showing a flower head. It hasn’t bloomed since 2010 but it was very pretty as I recall.

    Enjoy your day off.

      Hi Caryn,
I figure they are walking hand and hand on some lovely country lane enjoying the birth of spring.

It was really cold today-is only 27° right now. I’m feelinf chilly.

    Jeff,
I don’t balme you for not resisiting. I, however, will make the excuse I was discombobulated!
