Its a Mega Repeat but no complains….might be worth posting the original at some point…The Kinks version is just Fab. Its a song of nostalga for an England that probably never was
“God save little shops, china cups, and virginity”.
My Dear Hedley,
I have posted The Kinks’ version a couple of times, but it too bears repeating. This one reminds me of the BBC program Jam & Jerusalem which lasted only 1 seaon here. I liked it a lot and this was its theme.
Thanks for repeating, otherwise I’d have missed it on my annual visits to your blog!!
Love it!
I almost saw Kate Rusby in concert this year, being about a 30-minute drive, but at a different pre-arranged family activity – that’s about as good as it gets! An almost-event!

Ray and Dave are totally great in this video…apologies for crashing KTCC

My Dear Hedley,
As I think of KTCC as a community, there is no crashing, only contributing!

brian,
I’d love to see Kate in concert. I just love her voice and can’t think of a song I don’t like of hers.
Family does get first option!

Lori,
I’m not even sure you could aanswer that question!
This was the theme for one of my favorite BBC programs called Clatterford in this country and Jam and Jerusalem in England.
