Alright, I am easily confused ….. is this a steal from John Fred and the Playboys ?

“Julia Lee in Disguise, thats what you are….”

    • Kat Says:

      My Dear Hedley,

This song dates back to 1938 while John and the boys weren’t formed until 1956. It seems John liked Julia’s back-up gangs name.

  2. Hedley Says:

Thank you Kat…as usual I had no knowledge, however “Judy In Disguise” was a true fab-gear one hit wonder song for John Fred and his chums

    • Kat Says:

      My Dear Hedley,
I knew the reference but didn’t know it was John and His Boys who sang it-for that I thank you!

    • Kat Says:

      My Dear Hedley,
John was quite the flashy dresser and boy did he have moves!

What I most enjoyed about this was the music certainly but also the idea that if I had seen this in its heyday I wouldn’t have given a second thought to their outfits.

  4. Hedley Says:

John Fred’s pants are a little on the short side.

  5. Lori Kossowsky Says:

Is this Deja vu? Didn’t this song come up before and It took me much longer to “get it” BTW, I had a spinach salad with olive oil dressing, but I still feel extremely tired.

    • Kat Says:

      Lori,
If it came up before, but I didn’t notice as I had used the alternate title. At least now you got it!
