Another song about the western cowboy era that is long gone and now forgotten. In yesterday’s Dallas News they ran a story about how the western theme and images of the past Cotton Bowl Classic college football games has taken a back seat to high tech because cowboy hats and horses don’t relate to todays college students.
Bob,
In the Rose Bowl parade there were a lot of cowboys this year. One was a group dedicated to Roy Rogers, and they all rode paliminos.
Everything changes. It’s just the way of the world. Nobody backpacks through Europe anymore. That belonged to a by-gone era, mine. We just have to figure how to keep up witjout losing what we value.
