I have seen worse trees 🙂 But I think this one is top three 🙂 But I like the decorations.

Christer,
I think in the older days, trees weren’t all that full. I think it was because of the lit candals.

I appreciate the string tinsel rather than drop tinsel.
The room is more interesting than the tree. Did they wall paper the ceiling ? What is on the picture behind the tree ? Was it traditional to leave piles of books unwrapped ? Why are there gifts wrapped in plain paper ? Why is the tree so close to the door ? The tree touches the ceiling so no angel ? No illumination on the tree ?
Of course, the answer is why do you have so much time on your hands ? The answer is I just got back from picking up a friend at Metro Airport and I am now waiting for Wigan v Chelsea on Fox Soccer.

My Dear Hedley,
I’ll do my best:
1. Yes, I do think they wallpapered the ceiling instead of the walls except for the border.
2. The picture is of a man wearing a suit and a bowtie.
3. I bet all the gifts are wrapped in plain paper except for the larger kids’ gifts.
4. I have no idea why the tree is so close to the door. That looks like a potential disaster.
5. Yup, on the angel
6. A closer look at the books shows a few of them worn looking at the bindings. I’m figuring they’re always there.
7. Look closely and you’ll see thin candles at the ends of outside branches. You can even see the unlit wicks.

It sort of reminds me of a Diane Arbus photograph. I love the dolls sitting on whatever that is called. Where did you find this picture?

Lori,
I have no idea where I found it. I go to Google images and hunt.

My Dear Hedley,
I am warm and cozy and from the den window can see the lights on the deck. The house smells of pine. I always feel somehow lucky this time of year.

Not wallpaper, it’s painted using stencils.
Cheers

I was wondering if it was.

Lori,
No, there isn’t any information about the picture on it.
