    I can imagine seeing her sing this song to a very young african child

    I agree with Morphy. I saw Eartha many times when she was in S.F. I don’t know if I’ve told you the story about being invited for a party in her hotel room. Shame she was blacklisted. I will spend most of the day in bed as I am in pain. 🙁
