Kat, what IS the significance of March, 1987? Minicapt mentioned March of 1867, which is a drastically different year. Now you have me confused.
Hoping errant fireworks don’t cause big fires in south Texas. Bottle rockets have been outlawed in Corpus Christi area (with everything but sparklers outlawed in the city). My town, Mathis, has ordinances, but….

I screwed up the date-I looked up 1867 and Blaine in Congress.

British North America Act was passed 29 Mar 1867. It then was proclaimed on 01 Jul 1867.
