Bob and Joni

Today’s music was inspired by an article my friend Pete sent me. The article is called Joni’s Ballad in Plain Dumb.

  1. Oh no.
I hate it when my family fights.
Joni, my sweet sister sang me crying to sleep
crying my dreams still not done,
still was the toughest blond any man every tried to hang onto around with by
    why
do you think she had so many songs about making her baby, me, cry?
    So.
Do you think she’s going to give my brother, Bob,
who -come on man- lead the frigging revolution
until the shots started to be fired,
( then he got god but not in a zen way,)
some kind of a clear shot without grinning him some crap
about just how much of his output
should be put out with yesterday’s papers.?
    No, she’s not.
And if you don’t like it or he don’t like it well, wait.
    Families will re-gel, colder perhaps,
but trying hard to be semi-solid.

      Joe,
      Love your opening lines.

Not so sure this family rift will ever re-gel. The kids just won’t stop name-calling.

Interesting article. I wish Joni were a bit kinder to Dylan. It is time for her to ease up on some of those old rivalries. They are both awesome!

      Cuidado,
I didn’t see any reason for her comments. You’re right-give up those rivalries already.

Absolutely no reason at all to rip on him – especially publicly.

I’ll say this, the comments are definitely “authentic” Joni!

No rivalry at all, really. they are both brilliant & eccentric artists who made profound & lasting contributions to American & world culture. Sad to see Joni getting so cranky in age, but it’s forgivable and I’m sure Bob has laughed it off….

      Greg,
You’re right about Joni getting cranky. I hadn’t realized it until I read your comment. I bet Bob mumbled it off.
