Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life.
The sun just broke through the clouds. It rained a tiny bit last night. I could hear drops hitting the overhang outside the open window in my bedroom as I fell into dreamland.
The morning is a quiet one, as most Sundays are. My neighbors waved and wished me a Happy Easter as I drove by them on my way home from breakfast. They were coming from church and were dressed in their Easter clothes, in light blues and purples and pinks.
Today my friends and I are going out to dinner, and I’ll wear my Sunday best for the occasion. The restaurant is a lovely one right on the water. It isn’t often I go to restaurants without shelled peanuts on the floor. Today is an occasion.
The Red Sox open in a night game against the Yankees tonight, and I have been excited about this first game since the start of spring training. Baseball brings so much along with it. It makes me think of summer and hot dogs and the sounds of the crowd. I can already hear the crack of the bat and see the first ball sailing over the Green Monster. It won’t be long before the announcer says, “”Attention please, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Fenway Park.”
I wish all of you the best Easter if you celebrate and a wonderful Sunday if you don’t. I’ll be heading to the deck after this. I want to feel drowsy from the warmth of the sun. The lounge chair is all ready.

We´ve had sun a long time today, but now clouds are comming in. It´ll rain a lot tonight they say. The strong wind has been a bit annoying to to be honest.
Baseball is such a small sport here unfortunally, but I knew we had at least one team here in my county. I found it on the internet but I can´t find any info about when they are playing!!! Think I´ll have to mail them so I finally can go to a game.
Have a great day and a good dinner now!
Christer.

Christer,
I hope your weather holds-nothing like a sunny day to start off the week.
Baseball is a love it or leave sort of sport. I have friends who never watch a game and others who never miss. I’m in that last category.

I did find the dates after a while, but they had tried to hide them as good as they could 🙂 Their first game at home will be may15.

It’s time to “play ball” and I’m hoping our Nats do better this year. I get into watching them until interrupted with Redskins summer training. I loved listening to the Gene Autry song Kat. What a hoot! I think for sure I’ll outgrown that song next year. Have a wonderful dinner. Happy Easter!

Z&Me,
I’m back home from my friends’ house, and the Sox are down 7-5. I had the best Easter. We had a great dinner, several drinks and lots of laughs.

Happy Easter, Kat!
Last night I heard spring peepers for the first time this spring. They may have been peeping earlier but if so, the sound was lost in the torrential downpours.
I spent Easter with my family and some friends at my brother’s house. RockyRandom (the dog) spent it at dog day care playing outside with all his canine friends. Now we both are tired and well-fed and will spend the rest of the day lounging around.

Happy Easter, caryn!
That’s so funny as I too heard them the other night and thought how neat it was. No rain here at the time.
We had the best dinner then home for a spell before getting back together for the Sox game. Gracie was in her crate for a bit but she never minds-she sleeps in it often, voluntarily. I’m home now watching the end of the baseball game.
It has been a great Easter Sunday.

One of my greatest pleasures is to be Pumpa to my Grandson Ethan. On a sunny Michigan Easter, there was a very happy 3 1/2 year old, accompanied by our Westie Maggie, scouring the garden for Easter Eggs.
Sometimes you realise that life cannot get much better

My Dear Hedley,
I have come to realize the very same thing.

I got to hear Bach’s Cantata for Easter (#4) by an outstanding small chorus and chamber orchestra in the chapel of a monastery overlooking the Hudson River. And that was after singing at a sunrise service on Overlook Mountain outside of Woodstock. Glorious day, indeed.

Mark,
Like you, I have some special Easter Sundays in the treasure vault of my memory.
Glorious is the perfect description for yours!
