Yousendit and Me
I got the music slide from Hipcast to post but every time I try to add the yousendit link to the posting the slide disappears, and I don’t need anything else disappearing at the moment, thank you every much! I have added the yousendit link to comments, but it opens in the same window and I can’t find any way around that. I have tried about 10 times to add a link in all different places on the actual posting of the song but the slide still disappears. If any of you WordPress pros have an idea, please pass it along.

To have a link open in a new window, after the close quotation mark around the link in the tag put a space and then target=”_blank” before the close bracket. That will cause the link to be opened in a new window instead of the same one. (I think that’s what you were asking…)

I figured it out for the side links, but I was trying to do it in comments where I’d put the link to yousendit, but I can’t find a way to do that.

Ah! I peeked at some fora and it looks like for WordPress.com sites that there isn’t an easy way to do it. =(
I wonder if you put the Hipcast info into a table if that would let you put the YouSendIt link into the text without it affecting the slider.

I don’t have any opportunity to change the hipcast configuration. I can only change the look of the slide. I don’t get why adding a link below the MP3 causes the slide to disappear.

Oh my goodness, Kat! What a terrible thing to happen. Did they send a letter or warnings or just close you down? Thank goodness you’ve found another place. Once you find your way around and figure everything out, you’ll be fine. I’ve heard that wordpress is a great host.

I did get a warming, but that was a while back so I figured I was safe. The topper was an old Elton John song. The news was in my spam so it was quite a shock when Coffee just disappeared as I was writing a reply to a comment. I am so glad I’m still around and glad you found me.
