Clouds: Joni Mitchell

This is the entire album. I’m posting it in memory of all those nights we, Bill, Peg and I, listened to it in Bolga, Ghana. It is my favorite album because of the memories.

Thanks for all the Joni. I just played “Roses Blue” for the first time in years. I have the Clouds CD somewhere, and need to dig it out. Still have some vinyl that I bought in Quebec a very long time ago, and various other CDs since. My favorite album is Blue, followed by Court and Spark, but I’ll succumb to any of her work.

Leonard Cohen (who may have been the subject of “A Case of You”) died not in 2018, but in 2016, a day before the election 8 years ago. The morning after that election, WERU played “Everybody Knows” (that the dice is loaded…that the good guys lost…). And they’ve been playing it the past few days too. Coincidence.

      Ted,
When I was young, I somehow found folk music. Most of my friends were into rock and roll, but I was into folk first then rock and roll. Joni became my favorite. Clouds is my sentimental favorite, but, like you, I also love Blue and Court and Spark. I admit not thoroughly enjoying some of her later albums, her straying from folk albums.

I found Leonard Cohen when I was a junior in college and his first album was released. I wore it out. (Thanks! I fixed the date).
