Eventually, no one will be alive to remember telephone operators, or pay phones. Sadly, they have gone the way of the buggy whip and have been replaced by Google.

I remember the call I made to my parents when I was in Ghana. I had to go to the telecommunications building the day before to book the call. On the line the next day, the call went from Ghana to London, to White Plains and finally to my parent’s. Now you just dial directly on your phone.
