Fascinating pick Kat, George was best known for “When I’m cleaning windows” and always seems to be part of the entertainment landscape in my early years notwithstanding that he died in 1960. Maybe it was the movies or the popularity of his ukulele persona.

I found George Formby a while back when I needed a song about windows. There was just something about him I liked right away. He came to mind right away today when I wanted a uke song.
