    Kat I didnt know the historical significance of this song. Apparently Ives had been identified in the 50s as a communist which blacklisted his career – to be reinstated to gave evidence to the House and was accused by Pete Seeger of naming names and they had a gigantic falling out
    But in 93 there was some sort or reunion with Seeger and they sang this song.
    A McCarthy special !

      MDH,
      I knew about Burl Ives and his testimony to the house. For that reason I did not post him on Coffee. Much later I found out about the reunion so Burl was back in my good graces.
