Fine Choice! You know how much I love Pete. Are those the things you learned in school. I’m wondering, if what I learned in school, was not what my parents taught me. I have to listen to the song again.
My parents didn’t teach me about governments or that war is not so bad. They taught me more about life than history. I didn’t learn in school much of what Pete is singing here.

I do know how much you love Pete Seeger.
My parents didn’t teach me about governments or that war is not so bad. They taught me more about life than history. I didn’t learn in school much of what Pete is singing here.

The song was written by Tom Paxton and released in 1963. This video is from 1964.
