George Harrison wrote it but Eric Clapton played guitar on it and then Pattie Boyd who was married to George took off and married Clapton who had written Layla for her but had stolen the piano section from Rita Coolidge .
And somewhere in here George and Eric collaborated on Badge. But no one got credit for anything except Pattie being married to both of them
I did not know who wrote this. I didn’t even remember any of the lyrics.
I used to like to follow all the groups a single singer played and sang for like Neil Young first for Buffalo Springfield then to CSN&Y. I never followed the wives!
