He had a bit of a downturn during the rock era but made a comeback and got another gold record. His work with Lady Gaga was amazing. He also broke the Guinness World Record for the oldest person to release an album of new material, at the age of 95 years and 60 days.
He was diagnosed in 2016 but continued singing and performing concerts until 2021.

Although his mind left him due to Alzheimer’s, he could sing the great American Songbook from memory until the very end. He will be missed.
