“When I was a boy the Dead Sea was only sick.”

Contrary to rumor, I am still alive though l use that term loosely. I coughed for a long while last night then finally fell asleep as it was getting light. I slept until 2:45. I didn’t get my x-ray yesterday as they had no technician. I will try again tomorrow at a different clinic. I also hope to do that dump run and blood test.

I find myself talking more to the dogs. They tend to be patient and seemingly attentive. They haven’t started answering me yet. I’ll let you know.

My world is quiet. The wind which toppled tree limbs and knocked down my fence has finally moved on. It sounded like a hurricane. Even Henry and Nala kept looking at the ceiling.

The sky is pretty as the sun sets behind deep yellow clouds. Today was warm, in the 40’s. I was out but only for two minutes getting my newspaper.

When I was a kid, I didn’t cook or clean. My culinary skills were limited to a sandwich and a bowl of soup. I was partial to a fluffernutter sandwich and tomato soup though I would never turn down chicken noodle.

Okay, having been housebound for so long, my usual witty banter is waning. Please be patient.

Thank goodness… an update. I was getting concerned and even voiced that concerned on FB. I say the dump can wait. Take care of yourself first and don’t be trying to overdo it. Stay safe and get well.

      im6,
      Thank you!!

Today I did nothing, a day of rest. This whatever it is lasts forever. The cough persists.

I’ll do my best to get well!!

    Hi Kat,

Glad to hear that you are doing better. Today has been sunny and warm with a high temperature of 71°. Tonight a cold front is approaching which should give us some rain. However, the big arctic outbreak will arrive Saturday night and drop is to 17° by Sunday morning. The weather prognosticator last night said we might not get above freezing until Wednesday. Brrrr! There’s a chance of freezing precipitation. Yuck!

When I was a kid household chores were unknown at my Jewish house. My spouse also didn’t enforce the idea of my kids doing household chores as well. When I was a kid in Dallas, lots of my friends Baptist and Methodist friends had to do their chores weekly to get their allowance. 🙂

      Hi Bob,
I would feel better faster if I could get rid of the cough.

Wow, I was thrilled we were in the 40’s today, but it is a bit colder tonight, the high 30’s. We will not even get close to 17°. Saturday could be 55°.

We had a frost the other morning. I sleep late and usually miss the frosty car windows.

I never had chores. Much later my two younger sisters had to clear off the table, and they complained. They whined that my brother and I never had chores so why should they. My allowance was given, never earned.
