And finally, the blogpost I now wait for every December: Said The Gramophone’s “2023 100 best songs”. Sean Michaels (impeccable and broad good ear) now just posts one page for the year…STG was one of my continuous go-to sites for music. Now it’s just my best Xmas gift! Go play! https://www.saidthegramophone.com/

I have this 10″ LP.
It is ALWAYS played this time of year.
It’s one of my absolute favorite Xhrismas recordings…

You can still go to the source –Smithsonian Folkways — and find many options, from single song downloads to a ‘custom CD’. The SF catalog keeps the archives available”:

And speaking of archives, the Internet Archive offers pdf of the accompanying booklet: lyrics and commentary.

Thankas, J. I went looking for an LP but was unsuccessful. I’ll have to be happy with the CD. Thanks for the link.
I forget to go to Internet Archive. Thanks for the reminder. I have found a wealth of stuff there.
I’m off to Said the Gramophone!!
