    I suppose we should all be thankful that those variety show musical numbers are a thing of the past. They were silly then and haven’t aged well at all. Poor Pet having to compete not only with sports cars, but with chickens with their heads cut off. Had to find the date for this:. The Ed Sullivan Show on August 14, 1966. (But doesn’t she look fab?)

      I feel thankful for Ed Sullivan despite the silliness of these productions. He showcased so many singers and groups. I remember my friends and I watching The Beatles. It was a memorable night.

      I remember reading that he had his cameramen film Elvis only from the waist down. She does look fab!!
