Very funny, but important when most households had only one bathroom. I have two and a half bathrooms. The half bath is a downstairs powder room, (A toilet and a sink).

We had only one bathroom for the six of us. I live alone and have one and a half baths. The full bath is upstairs. The half bath is down on the first floor.

I also have an outdoor shower which I use in the summer. I guess that would be a quarter bath!
