I haven’t seen those speakers for many years. Of course drive in movies are nearly extinct. Today movies are sent to theaters via streaming over the internet. Most old drive in movie theaters didn’t have the money to upgrade from celluloid film and shut down.

We are lucky to have a drive-in here on the cape. On Sunday it is open for a flea market. The theater was opened in 1957! It’s the last one on Cape Cod, and one of about 300 left in the country.
The sound now comes through the radio on a designated station.
