That is Jack in all his glory. He is a big boy. He is also a furry boy. I have to comb him and sometimes cut out clumps, mostly on his belly. He is quite patient.
I’m glad you asked about seeing Jack.

I love long haired cats.
So warm and cozy in my lap.
The matted hair can be a pain.
Used an electric shearer to get
the mats out. And brushed brushed brushed.
Didn’t look too professional.
But who cares? Certainly not the cat!

Tracey,
I had cut off all his clumps and been able to maintain his fur, but he hasn’t been downstairs much since Nala so he had some new clumps. Luckily, only a couple. When he came to live with me, his matted fur was awful. He had been alone with Gwen while my aunt was in the hospital for a couple of months before she died. The poor babies were neglected as they were fed by a non-cat fan so they didn’t get much attention. He does love to be brushed.
