Omg! This picture brings back painful memories of going to the dentist as a kid. Of course this was before fluoridation of the water. It was considered a commie plot. 😦
My father, to save money, brought me to his childhood dentist. The guy didn’t use novocaine. I had never been in such pain at the dentist before that. That is when I became a bit scared of dentists. Luckily, though, that fear went away. I like the dentist I have had for 50 years.
I once had a dentist pull a wisdom too out ( as an adult) without any pain shots. I had no idea what he was doing until he started. I would have screamed but I couldn’t move my mouth. I wish I had bit down hard on his hand. He then said when I called, is that he knew I had pain medicine at home. How was I supposed to drive home in that much pain was something he didn’t seem to care about. I called my insurance company and they were surprised that no anesthesia was used. I asked them to remove the charge and they did. My dentist horror stories are long so I’ll end here. Good news: Today I went to the eye-doctor and had a wonderful experience.
Take Care,
Lori and her gang.
Lori,
That childhood dentist of my father’s was the first dentist who sacred me. I was in the 7th or 8th grade. I swear I left my handprints under the arm of the chair as I was grabbing them with all my strength in the pain.
I have no more dental horror stories. I have had my current dentist for 50 years.
