A long gone era before Donald Trump, social media and Fox News. That’s when medical science and public health came before politics.

That is also when people believed in science. All those iron lungs made an impression. Parents wanted all their kids vaccinated. I guess all those people unconscious with tubes everywhere haven’t made enough of an impression.
