Our Condo was completely carpeted from wall to wall except for the kitchen and bathrooms. Therefore, I hadn’t owned a pair of slippers for years. When we moved into the new house, only the bedrooms are carpeted and I bought a pair to keep my feet warm. The only ones I could find that fit me were expensive. After last winter they were a godsend. Right after Valentines Day, we hit the second lowest temperature of -5°F on record and the heat was out except for a couple of hours each day. The lowest was -7°F back in the late 1890s.

Bob,
I have only wooden floors with scatter rugs so I do need slippers to keep my feet warm. My sister gives me a new pair every Christmas. I’d buy them but they are around $90.00 so I wait for my sister.

She must buy the good ones like I did. Who know good slippers are so expensive.

My sister buys great gifts. I remember my father loved L.L. Bean slippers. I used to buy him a pair every couple of years. When he found out, they were around $60 (a long way back) he couldn’t believe it. He figured they were $6.. or $7.00. He didn’t shop much.
