Thankfully, today these kind of playground eqiuipmemt like merry-go-rounds are banned and I’m sure orthopedic surgeons are not happy. These kind of things caused lots of kid injuries. I suffered a compound fracture of my left wrist in the third grade from falling off of a stationary jungle Jim. 🙂

We had no playground at our school. It was used as a parking lot for mass on Sunday so no obstructions. I didn’t’t know anyone who was hurt on any equipment as the park had only the slide and some swings.
