Wow! I had never heard Ella sing this song from South Pacific. That’s one of my favorite broadway musicals. Although it was written in the 1940s, Rodgers and Hammerstein wanted to make a statement about racial equality in the play bit couldn’t make it so obvious to turn off their mostly white audiences.
I was as surprised as you when I found this. I did find the song direct from the movie but it was a bit long so I kept hunting. This is also one of my favorite musicals.
