I never thought of Alan Arkin as a singer. I both read the book and saw the movie, “The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming”. It was written by Max Shulman who also wrote, “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis”. Amazing what you can learn on the internet. It might actually stay around for awhile.

Thanks, I never heard this version. I only knew the Harry Belefonte version.

You’re welcome. They were actually released the same year.

I had to look them up, and found out that one of those guys was Alan Arkin. I had no clue that he was part of the folk scene. Fun record.

I knew this when I posted the song only because I had looked up The Tarriers in an earlier post, and I remembered because I was surprised back then.

My favorite Alan Arkin films are Catch 22 and The In-Laws. I didn’t know he was singer until I posted him here a while back.
