And then we said goodbye to Mary Poppins, it was time for her to leave.
going to the movies was very fractured , we rarely went as a family but were tag-alongs or with my Grandma. The only 3 movies that I can think we all saw together were Lawrence of Arabia, Beckett and Summer Holiday
So I just dont remember how I saw Mary Poppins but I was 10 and just loved it. Saw the musical in London a couple of times and equally loved that

This song is just so joyful, and it was Mary who opened the joy box for the family(weird metaphor but I’m tired). Nanny McPhee was similar but without the music.
It was in the summer when we went to the drive-in, sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. My grandfather had a pass so we used it. We saw a lot of movies plus add in the matinee and I saw a lot of movies when I was a kid.
