These are the famous mermaids from that attraction in Florida near Silver Springs. Those days, before Disney World and the Internet, pretty woman breathing through a hose under water and a guy wrestling an alligator were the big attractions. We had much lower expectations for entertainment back then. 🙂

I knew it was from Florida, but I didn’t know from where exactly. I still have 1950/60’s expectations when it comes to entertainment. We play board games, watch old science fiction moves and generally have low tech fun.
