Thanks for the memory. I loved the big band swing era of music. Glenn Miller had the most polished band around. Sadly Glenn was lost in an airplane accident during WWII where he and the band served in the Army Air Air Corps.
Unfortunately, the lovers of this music are members of the Greatest Generation who fought in WWII and we are losing them every day.
You’re welcome. I really like them too. My mother played them all the time. I remember the movie The Glenn Miller Story. I liked Jimmy Stewart but not so much June Allison.
You and I like this music, and I figure there are a lot more of us. Maybe it is incumbent on us to help keep it alive.
