I remember the old fashioned Grocery Store before Supermarkets. I remember that the grocer had a tall wooden ladder that ran on a rail at the top of the shelves. The latter had wheels at the bottom and the grocer could climb up an get you what you wanted.

I have always wanted a library with shelves so tall I’d have to use that sliding ladder. On one of the TLC programs, they renovated a house for a man with so many books so they built those book cases and added a library.
