“Words are the soul’s ambassadors, who go / Abroad upon her errands to and fro.”

Today is perfection. The bright sun is framed by a blue sky with only a few small clouds. The breeze is keeping the day cool. It’s 71˚. The high may only reach 73˚. The low tonight will be around 62˚. That’s the way it was last night when I closed the windows and the two doors. Periodically, Henry paced from the couch to the hall and back and forth, a signal of his I learned the hard way when he first came. Henry needed out, but the door was closed. Now I get up and open it and close it again. I am well trained but Henry isn’t quite yet. I’ll have to teach him Poochie Bells.

In the evenings lately, I’ve been going through some catalogues. Every now and again I find the perfect Christmas present for someone so I order it. I know this is really early, but my mother always said, “Buy it when you see it. It might never be there again.” She was right, and I listened.

The last two days have been busy for me. I actually got dressed on both days and went out. Yesterday was to the dentist for my cleaning. At least I got a new tooth brush and some floss. I had one more medical stop then I was done. The day before, when I did three errands, including groceries and gas, I’d have expected cheers and confetti, but just doing three errands paled in comparison to what happened later. I did my laundry. Yes, I did. I finished three loads and hauled them up two floors and put them away. While I was in my bedroom, I changed the sheets and started all over again.

Christmas gifts? I prefer to panic in December 🙂
I don’t buy online and I don’t like to shop especially downtown so I’ll go when I’m desperate enough.
Gray weather today so I fixed and cleaned two bikes. I’m glad that open air flea markets are allowed again now, I hope to get some needed bike spare parts there next week. I also miss the cheese I usually get at this market, the cheese stall has many delicious varieties I don’t get elsewhere.
The sun will be back this weekend, it’s time for another train/bike trip.

      Birgit,
I love finding just the right gift. Most times I just happen on it. I see something and know exactly to whom it needs to go.

Farmer’s markets are also open around here. I just haven’t gone to one yet. Usually they are early, and I sleep late.

Today was perfection! That’s a good thing as the weekend will be hot.

    Hi Kat,

Today was sunny and dry with a high in the upper 90s. Typical for this time of year.

The numbers of Covid cases is still high here in Greg Abbotsville. He did close the bars a gain last week due to the rising cases and deaths while recommending people wear masks. Since the sick and death rate has been increasing, we have stopped eating out in restaurants and wear our masks in public places when we can’t maintain social distancing. Florida is a mess along with Arizona or anywhere Republican governors opened up too soon and against CDC guidelines. 😦

We closed on our new house today and we had to sign all the paperwork in the title company’s parking lot in our car because of the Covid pandemic. They called it drive through closing. Uncomfortable but it worked.

      Hi Bob,
Today stayed cool and wonderful. It was the best day so far this summer.

We had flattened the curve but now numbers are up just a bit. I haven’t heard what the governor will do. We already have a mask law. Restaurants just opened up for inside eating. We have been slow to move as the governor chose to follow the suggested steps without skipping over the important ones. We’re all keeping an eye.

      Congrats!!!!!!
